The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has taken up steps to set up a website to assist the recovery of missing children. In order to get the children back to their safe and secure home environment, the website, titled as “Missing Children Recovery” that has database that pens down the children who have been recovered by the Punjab government in cooperation with the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau, Punjab.
The developed database comprises of important identification information of the children including the child recovery date, the district, as well as the city of the recovery. It also has the child name, and the child’s father name.This website also shares an opinion to share the information of the recovered children on the social net.
A recovery helpline has also been setup for the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau Punjab.
