Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has promptly reduced its rates for Islamabad-Beijing flights, as a measure to aid passengers commuting between Pakistan and China. Presently, PIA operates a weekly passenger flight exclusively for this route on Sundays. As per the latest announcement from the national airline, a staggering decrease of 30 percent has been applied to fares for the Islamabad-Beijing route. This revision will considerably benefit travelers seeking to journey to China for education, business, jobs, or even to visit family. As reported, the economical cost is expected to benefit both Pakistani and Chinese citizens to a significant degree.

It is noteworthy that Pakistan and China are jointly organizing and presenting ‘The Year of Tourism’ in 2023, aiming to strengthen cultural and interpersonal relations between the two nations. Earlier this year, PIA raised the reduction rate on fares for students travelling to China by a significant 27 percent. Moreover, during the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr, the national flag carrier had reduced prices for economy and executive economy classes on domestic flights by a substantial 20 percent.
Additionally, the Parliamentary Secretary for Railways, Kiran Imran Dar, stated that PIA has accomplished over Rs. 60 million in profit in the first quarter (January-March) of 2023.
