Photo of Realme X revealed

Just yesterday, an announcement was made by Realme officially declaring that it would be launching the Realme X along with the Realme X Youth Edition on the 15th of May, in China. And while we wait for both the devices, Xu Qi, who happens to be Realme’s CMO, has shared a live photo of the device. The image goes on to emphasize on the phone’s full screen display.

Unlike its predecessors, the Realme X will neither have a notch, nor will it have thick bezels of any sorts. The bezels have been slimmed down in order to give an almost bezel-less appearance, save for the chin, which happens to be just a little bit thicker than the rest. Considering the fact that the top bezel is a little too thin to house a camera, Realme has made the decision to equipthe upcoming device with a pop-up selfie camera design. Unfortunately enough though, the image shared does not showcase this camera.

However, the photo does go on to confirm the launch date of the device. The phone is set to be launched on the 15th of May, and the image also confirms the time – which happens to be 1500hrs.

The phone has an OLED display with curved corners. And while it’s not exactly the sharpest out there, it isn’t bad either. The TENAA images shown previously also had suggested that the device does not actually have a fingerprint scanner on the back, indicating that there will be an In-display fingerprint scanner. In accordance to the statistics given by Realme itself, the company’s upcoming device has a screen-to-body ratio of 91.2 percent.

On the right side of the phone is present the power button, while the left side of the phone holds the volume buttons. The image shared does not actually show the bottom, hence we cannot see the ports and speakers.

The new leaks suggest that the Realme X will come with the 8nm Snapdragon 730 processor, contrary to previous reports which suggested that the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 855.
