So Pakistani professional gamer Arslan Ash has proved again that there is a world out of cricket as well a world out of sports even, a world known as EA Sports where he has undeniably made his country proud. He was easily in the spotlight when it comes to the world of EA sports this year. For those who are not yet aware, the professional gaming star went on to win both the Japanese and the US-based Evo Championship Series tournaments in the same year, the game was none other than Tekken a game that many Pakistanis would be familiar with, he won against elite players from all over the world, defeating them and being crowned a champion.
It should henceforth be noted that Arslan is now the first Pakistani player to win in a large scale international fighting game tournament, and on top of that he also became Pakistan’s first ever Red Bull athlete. The Pakistani Esports star has risen up to fame and in turn has made his country very proud, which has now earned him ESPN’s Esports Player of the Year Award

It is worth noting here that these ESPN Esports Awards took were set on Friday and the aims and objectives of the said event was to highlight the best performances and moments throughout this year. Arslan Ash won fan polls and Esports choice amongst 3 other players which included Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf, Xiaomeng “Liooon” Li, and Jay “Sinatraa” Won for their incredible performances in Fortnite, Hearthstone, and Overwatch respectively. Arslan’s winning achievements in these reputed leagues have put Pakistan and its fighting game community on the map with many top players, most notably Knee, expressing wishes to visit our country and practice against Pakistani talent
