Pakistan Telecommunication Authority have shared some tips to help Pakistani’s secure there cellphone devices

So the organization in charge of the Telecommunications in the country of Pakistan, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) recently shared six tips with the general public in order to help them secure their mobile phone devices, these set of instructions or tips were initially released and issued by other not able sources many years ago and well it has taken some time for the organization to settle in to modern standards and some may even say that this may be a little to late.

A notable Technology blog website, TechRadar issued 10 tips to make mobile phones more secure back in the year of 2014, which was five years ago people. However as some may say that ‘it’s the thought that counts’ well in that scenario we think that it is still a good decision taken up by the organizationand could be seen as a step in the right direction by the telecom regulator.

PTA have alreadyinitiated  a campaign which aims to create awareness among the general public about the use of mobile phones and other telecom services, which are out in place to help the people of Pakistan currently using mobile and who have a network to go with that phone.The general public appreciates PTA’s latest campaign, which would help avoid harm and ensure the beneficial use of mobile services.

So in contrastwith things here are the six tips issued by PTA issued to help users in securingtheir mobile phone devices and these are given down below:

  • Lock your phone using a “Pin/Password” to avoid its misuse.
  • Install apps only from “trusted app stores”.
  • Turn-off Bluetooth after use.
  • Always encrypt your data on internal and external media.
  • Install updates/patches in a timely manner.
  • Always use a VPN on public Wi-Fi/un-trusted network.
