Pakistan has decided to take part in the upcoming 2020 Expo which will be held in non other than Dubai. This will be the first time Pakistan will be taking part in such an event and new economic opportunities is promised as a result of this process. The news came about on Sunday when a participation contract was signed between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the International Cooperation in Abu Dhabi. The so called partnership was signed by the Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE Ahemad Khan and was signed with the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation – Sultan Muhammad Al Shansi.
As the signing activities were completed, preparations have begun to construct the Pakistan Pavilion at the Expo 2020 and as per the initial plans the pavilion is set be constructed on a large plot which is rumored to be about 3449 square meters in the Opportunity District and the overall theme of the pavilion will be ‘Emerging Pakistan’ which will supposedly represent all the provinces of Pakistan. Senior Officials stated that their overall goal and utmost priority is to make an impact by indulging in such an event – an impact which is coordinated with the overall theme and can help in connecting minds and creating a better future. The Expo 2020 is not what you would call a zone specific event, moreover it is for the entire region and according to rumors the Prime Minister of Pakistan has already as of right now established a committee which is set to represent both the public and the private sector of Pakistan in order for effective participation in the Expo which will in turn create more job opportunities for the people of Pakistan and hence will have a significant impact on the Economy of Pakistan.

Just yesterday The Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan had launched the Pakistan Citizen Portal (PCP) which has the aim of addressing and implementing to the complains of the people of Pakistan. Hereby people can place a complaint through a smartphone application, website, email or Facebook and furthermore people can also register their complaints through a toll free number. Finally the Governmental departments will also hold a khulli ketchari or an open courts to receive people’s complaints and Government have assured the people that these complaints will be resolved in a given time frame and transparency will be ensured in the matter – in order to satisfy the people and their complaints.
