Pakistan and India have gotten into a serious situation again and that has largely to do from the human rights violation done by the Indian Government in Kashmir. This was long overdue over which the countries have previously fought over but the issue still remains unresolved. India seems to defend its position of it being an internal issue and therefore would not allow for mediation from a third party however, Pakistan is readily defending its position of having a muslim majority in Kashmir and therefore cannot let Indian troops takeover the region at the expense of Muslims. UN has been rather quiet on the matter and has not been able to exercise its power, or rather not willing to, to put it into more accurate words.

The national security committee had a meeting chaired by PM Khan and the decided measures were to suspend trade with India and to expel the Indian envoy from Islamabad and wouldn’t be sending its newly appointed envoy to New Delhi as well. PM Khan has also responded actively in regards to Indian aggression by stating that if it comes to that, Pakistan Army is alert and vigilant. US has warned Pakistan of not taking any steps of that sort since it promises that it is keeping a close eye on the events happening and Kashmir and apparently won’t let Muslims be subject to torture. This is rather unbelievable because Muslims being tortured like this in Kashmir is an issue that dates back a long time and is not a modern day problem, which was ignored by other countries, however, now that Pakistan has threatened to be active in response, suddenly they have got their eyes all around the place.
