PAKISTAN SUPER LEAGUE BACK TO WHERE IT BELONGS!

Since the cricket fever is still high, here’s another good news for cricket fans, specifically Pakistani fans, since the PSL 5 is now returning to Pakistan. Pakistan Super League, was a breath of fresh air for both the Pakistani team and the Pakistani nation crazy about cricket since it allowed Pakistanis to be proud and call a league their own alongwith the influx of new talent which rocked the world with their performances. After 4 years, efforts from PCB have bear fruit with more and more matches being played in Pakistan, however, still the bulk of the tournament is played in UAE and the crowds there cannot match the passion for cricket in this country where the PSL rightfully belongs. This has been evident by the empty seats that we watch on tv during PSL matches.

This would definitely change when PSL comes back to Pakistan. Lahore, Karachi, Multan and Rawalpindi are four grounds that have been shortlisted as of yet with PCB trying to convince Sri Lankan and Bnagladesh teams to come and play a series in Pakistan as well. Additionally, Australia and England had earlier refused to play in Pakistan due to the security reasons and that might be soon to change with increased efforts from PCB to get them to come to Pakistan and promote cricket. Lastly, Mani claimed that Asia Cup rights have also been given to Pakistan and hopes that all teams agree to participate including India. According to him,

During my so-far almost-nine months in office, I have done my best to introduce a new culture of quality management, besides making recommendations in the PCB constitution to bring overall improvement in domestic cricket and in the organisational set-up of the PCB.

If these objectives are to be met successfully is it fare to say that Ehsan Mani made sure that his time in power was well allocated to improving the condition of cricket in Pakistan?
