Pak Railways Announce Free Travel For Senior Citizens Over Eid. Free travel during the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays has been announced by Pakistan Railway for the senior citizens of Pakistan.
Senior citizens age 65 or above can travel through Pakistan Railway anywhere in the country without bothering about paying fare.
To facilitate the senior community more, a notification has been issued by Minister for Railways Roshan Khursheed Bharucha declaring that the honourable senior citizens will be facilitated through free advance booking and E-ticketing system on the eve of Eid.
In an interview, Bharucha said that the historic package is a gift to its passengers from Pakistan Railways abd this gift is spec aimed at the safer, free of cost and timely approach of the senior citizens to their destinations.
She also added that the high-level officials of Pakistan Railways will be ensuring to monitor and follow-up of this facility, so that the facility can be availed by a maximum number of passengers in the country.

Minister for Railways Roshan Khursheed Bharucha also added that Pakistan Railways remains committed to provide safe, sound and efficient mode of journey to the masses of the country.
The only thing that is required from senior citizens is their national identity cards while traveling through Railway Pakistan. So if you or anyone senior in your family wants to avail the chance of traveling free, don’t forget to take identity of yours or don’t forget to thrust it to your senior family members.
Earlier this month, Pakistan Railways has also announced five special trains to facilitate those people who are planning to travel for Eid-ul-Fitr.
Passengers will be able to take advantage of the eight-day eid operation that is starting from June 12, on 30 % discounted fares.
Additional coaches are also being declared to be attached to other trains to accommodate maximum numbers of passengers.
