Opposition parties have just showed their support for the government’s initiative over Kashmir and believe that whatever differences present between government and opposition over internal matters, one thing is for sure and that is that they are united for the cause of Kashmir and fight together to help Kashmiris regain their rights. Shehbaz Shareef has tweeted on the matter:
When it comes to Occupied Kashmir, we, the government and Opposition, are united like a rock, and unwavering in our moral, diplomatic and political support to the oppressed Kashmiris. Mr Modi must make no mistake about it!
This followed PM Khan’s speech at the United Nations General Assembly regarding the Kashmir issue and how it was important for a third party like the UN to get involved in the conflict between two nuclear-armed countries. The move of the Indian government which stripped the autonomy of Kashmir on August 5 has received a lot of backlash from the international community. Sharif also pointed out how Pakistan was involved in stressing over the peace of Kashmir, the sub-continent and the wider world.

Shahbaz Sharif was adamant to quote that the government and the opposition were ‘united like a rock’ and would not accept any compromise other than the complete freedom of the Kashmiri people. He described Modi as’fascist’ and didn’t hold back to criticize his regime to the full.
The world has been taken by storm by PM Khan’s speech and this provides evidence that Pakistan would fight till the end!
