Rumors have been flying around for quite some time now with respect to OnePlus’ upcoming flagship series in the OnePlus 8 series. The rumors have mainly focused on the fact that the company might end up launching the latest series earlier this year, and now, a recent report from TechRadar has just gone on to claim that the OnePlus 8 series will indeed go official in the second week of next month. The report has citied close sources from within OnePlus itself.
OnePlus usually launches its flagship series in the month of May or June. Both the OnePlus 7 as well as the OnePlus 8 were subject to being launched in May, while the OnePlus 5 made its way into the market in June. If the speculation is to be believed, then this would be the company’s first April launch with respect to its flagship series after the OnePlus One – which too launched in April – six years ago.
The report coming in from TechRadar does not reveal anything else except the purported launch timeline. Of course, this isn’t the very first time we’ve heard that OnePlus would launch its flagship series earlier this time round either.
Previously, very popular tipster in Isham Agarwal too had suggested that both the OnePlus 8 as well as the OnePlus 8 Pro could launch sometime around late March or early April. And by the looks of it, his claims were right on the money.
Before getting ahead of the situation though, it’s important to note the fact that such claims are just based on rumors – and there happens to be no official confirmation from OnePlus itself. And hence, for now, you should take the speculation with a grain of salt. Until then though, we wait for official confirmation from OnePlus – and as we do, it is quite likely that an April launch will take place!
