OnePlus is next on our list of upcoming smartphones to look forward to. The most important thing to see will be whether OnePlus makes its upcoming flagships even more expensive than last time or goes for a decrease. Any further increase in the current prices would mean that OnePlus would be moving on from its initial principles of making flagships phones at half the price.
The latest OnePlus 8 has just been leaked in its entirety. The phone is said to go for a punch hole this time instead of a notch or a pop up camera. Other specs include the Snapdragon 865, QHD+ display with a 120Hz screen refresh rate, 12 to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 256 to 512GB of UFS 3.0 storage, a 64MP main camera and a large battery with super-fast charging. Rumor has it that the phones will feature an official IP68 water resistance rating for the first time. If OnePlus really nails the IP rating we could be seeing a lot more traction towards OnePlus because of how much more credible the phone would become.
The announcement is to be expected around march.
Moreover, there is one more phone that could be in the works as the trend has been for the past year or so. There could possibly be a lite version, which could be cheaper and the camera placement might be similar to that of the S20. There could be changes in the cut out placement. This would end up making OnePlus more accessible to other customers.
Regardless of the price increase, OnePlus has been making rounds around its customers and has been successfully able to convince people to pay more for their premium products.
