OnePlus 7 Pro 5G subject to new OxygenOs 9.5.4 update

The OnePlus 7 Pro seemed to have grabbed the attention of most people after the phone was released last month – with many people forgetting another model that OnePlus released : the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G. In the short period that the phones have been released, the regular pro variant has been on the receiving end of a couple of important updates, and now OnePlus has made users aware that the company is also working on the variant which features with 5G. As a matter of fact, the more recent news surrounding the 5G version of the OnePlus 7 Pro is that the device just received a new update which goes on to fix some of the more important issues with regards to the software.

The OnePlus 7 Pro 5G made history as it became the first OnePlus device ever to come with the luxury of 5G. The phone was announced by the Chinese manufacturer in the UK on the 15th of Mayand being quite identical to the regular OnePlus 7 Pro, the difference for the 5G variant comes with the fact that it features with an X50 LTE modem.

Coming back to the update though – it goes on to improve screen touch sensitivity, and also goes on to optimize DC dimming along with double tap in order to wake and ambient display.

Not only this as the OTA 9.5.4 update for the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G fixes issues in the software too – like persistent fingerprint animation on the screen after successful unlock, app icons failing to load after unlocking, as well as the issue that surrounds the pop-up camera opening during an incoming video call when the screen is off.

The roll out for the update has already commenced for the existing users of the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G. The rollout will occur in batches, and if you haven’t been received the update yet, there is not too much to worry about, as it is coming batches.
