WhatsApp introduced a dedicated video call button for its users which appeared next to voice calling in May 2017
Before it, you would need to cut the call in order to switch from voice to video. But now you will get rid of this struggle with this new feature. As, WhatsApp will shortly allow you to switch directly from voice to video and video to voice by just click of one button on your device.
On November 16, WABetaInfo tweeted that “WhatsApp is **internally** experimenting the switch to video call and the group description features right now!”
We can see the hints in tweet that the feature is in Beta mode as seen in WhatsApp beta for Android 2.17.163 version. This new-fangled feature will let the recipient to reject the upcoming video call if he or she wants.
Apart from this users will also get another benefit as if the user presses the video call button then the other party will have permission to the request in order to switch the voice call to a video call.
The report also said that the messaging service is also testing a feature that will allow users to directly mute a video. It also confirmed that a Group voice call feature will also be a part of the latest beta version of this instant messaging app.
Last month, the messaging app rolled out its most awaiting feature “Delete for everyone” that offers users to cancel their sent messages.
Rumors are also spreading about the news that WhatsApp may also be working on an app for iPad users as hints of it coming on iPad were spotted on its most up-to-date desktop app.
