Just when we thought that the notches couldn’t get more uglier, or couldn’t go ahead further in ruining a phones look, we get to see something we though we’d never see : from Asus. Slashleaks has just posed a photo of the Asus Zenfone Prototype, which goes on to show an amazing level of awfulness. Clearly, Asus doesn’t have any idea how much of abomination people already think the notch is – that they are about to release something which takes the ugliness to a whole different level.
But in all seriousness, what exactly was Asus’s thought process? Some might even pose a question as to why there’s a notch there anyway, when phones ranging from the likes of the Vivo Nex, OPPO Find X, and the Xiaomi MI Mix 3 try to get away with murder, by placing the front camera elsewhere.
However, regardless of the placement of the notch, we should give Asus credit where due –at least you can day that the Zenfone 6’s display almost reaches to the top of the phone. Though it is true that the bottom still features a slightly thicker chin, however the images don’t actually show the front facing speaker on the phone.

On the other hand, the phone might feature a triple camera setup on the back of the phone. Though the three rear cameras would be a first timer for Asus, other companies, ranging from the likes of Huawei, to the likes of Samsung and LG have already done something quite similar.
Also, on the Zenfone 6, we see the feature of a fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone, and while this perhaps doesn’t come as news, the fact that this indicates that the phone won’t feature an In-display fingerprint sensor actually does. This is all we know about the phone till now, however, as the launch gets nearer and nearer, things should become more clearer.
