While the initial rumors about OnePlus launching a mid-range OnePlus device came to light more than six months ago, the device has now finally been subject to launch. The phone as we now know it as the OnePlus Nord launched on Tuesday, with the launch taking place in AR – the first of its kind in the smartphone industry.
The OnePlus Nord becomes the Chinese company’s first ever midrange smartphone in a long while – and hopefully OnePlus will continue with the same trend going into the future as well. Indeed while the device does demand a mid-range price, OnePlus has done many a favor as it brings in several features from its flagships to this particular mid-range phone – such as a 90Hz AMOLED display, the same 48MP Sony IMX586 primary rear camera as in the OnePlus 8, Warp Charge 30T and of course – its much-loved Android-based OxygenOS.

On the back of the phone is found a quad-camera setup of which the primary sensor is the 48MP Sony IMX586 primary rear camera with OIS + 8MP ultra wide angle camera + 5MP depth sensor + 2MP Macro camera. On the front are present two cameras.
Not only is the display a 90Hz one, but it also has an In-display fingerprint scanner integrated within.
