According to the latest speculation, HMD Global is gearing up to launch its first ever device which will feature with the pop-up selfie camera. It is rumored that the device will be the Nokia 8.2 – a sequel from the Nokia 8.1 which we saw last December. Also, the phone is tipped to launch running Android Q.
It is expected that the device will feature with eight gigs of RAM and 256 gigs of internal storage. Rumors earlier suggested that the phone would feature with either the Snapdragon 700 series or the Snapdragon 735 chipset.
It is said that the pop-up selfie camera to feature within the device will actually be a 32MP sensor. And while we do not have an idea as to what the other cameras will be configured at, it may be meaningful to note that the Nokia 8.1 came with a dual camera design along with Zeiss optics. The phone from last year was also based on Android One.

On the subject of the release of the device – considering the fact that Google is all but set to launch Android Q next month, one would have to imagine that the Nokia 8.2 will follow soon after – perhaps in time for IFA 2019 which is scheduled to take place in Berlin. Though it depends as to where HMD Global stands with regards to the development of the device, the Nokia 8.2 could actually turn out to be amongst the first phones which run Android Q right from the box – the company has actually made a name for itself when it comes to being committed in bringing newer version of Android.
All in all of course, everything depends upon whether or not HMD global is actually working on the device at all. These still only happen to be rumors right now. Anyways, it would actually be great to see a Nokia 8.1 sequel though as the Nokia 8.1 proved to be one of the best Nokia phones present in the market at the time of its release and was easily one of the best stock Android phones – still is!
