HMD Global has been reviving the Nokia Brand through a whole host of devices, most of them being budget friendly models like the Nokia 2V and the Nokia 3.1 Plus. However, in the States, HMD hasn’t been enthusiastic enough to market some of their devices. That’s about to change with the Nokia 5.1 Plus. The phone was first launched in China as the Nokia X5 in July of last year. Despite it being a year-old device, HMD Global is keen to bring it to the US.

The phone would come in a variety of options: 3GB with 32GB, 4GB with 64GB and 6GB with 64GB. This allows buyers to select the amount of RAM and storage depending on their needs and requirements, though, its still unsure which variants come to the US market. The only confirmed specifications are the availability of Dual SIM support in white. The phone is already available at B&H priced at $199.99 with delivery in 7 to 10 business days. The phone is planned to be available unlocked.
NOKIA 5.1 PLUS HEADS TO THE US THROUGH B&H
Introducing a phone in this category dominated by phones from Motorola would be a challenging obstacle for the Nokia 5.1 Plus but with the package that HMD Global is providing seems to be more appealing than the Moto G7 Play, its direct competitor with the same price. With more RAM, better processor and dual rear cameras, and with the added advantage of a better reputation when it comes to providing timely android updates, the Nokia phone sure looks to provide stiff competition to the Motorola phone and would certainly be swaying customers towards the new device.
