There has been a drastic change in Xiaomi smartphone series over the course of the past year. First and foremost, the Redmi series saw independence as a brand rather than a mid-range/budget-focused series. After such revelations, the smartphone market has seen the brand release, not just premium midrange models but also budget and even flagship models. No Mi Max 4 or Mi Note model will be launched this year

The CEO of Xiaomi has recently disclosed that the manufacturer’s smartphone lines are now the Xiaomi and Redmi lines. There was indeed also a hint that Xiaomi is now devoted solely to new technology, high-end premium smartphones and will go on to focus on new retail markets. He then proceeded on to reel out the phones which happen to be under the product line for this year. Among these include the Xiaomi digital series, the Mi 9, MI 9SE, the Xiaomi Mix series as well as the new Xiaomi CC series. One thing which is quite interesting on its own is the fact that Xiaomi does not reserve any plans for the new Mac and Note phones this year. And while it hasn’t categorically been confirmed that there will be a discontinuation of the series, the news certainly seems to suggest that this is indeed the case.
Considering the fact that the Mi Max 3 saw its launch just last year, it is quite difficult to comment whether or not Xiaomi will bring an update next year. As far as the Mi Note 3 goes, it was launched two years ago back in 2017, and happens to be the last note model from the company. The Mi Note series first saw launch four years ago back on 2015, as Xiaomi considered the possibility of the industry developing towards the use of curves OLED screens. Though it is in fact true that curved screens are not at all trendy any more, and full-screen designed phones have caught the attention of everyone.
