NO 5G IPHONES UNTIL NEXT YEAR

It is not new to see Apple delay features and functionalities in its iPhones and with the massive customer base that it has, it can do that. It has trailed behind its Android competitors in terms of a lot of features that became a norm in the Android smartphone world after which Apple realized that it would be beneficial for its smartphones as well. Dual-sim capability and water-proofing are just two examples of how Apple has been trailing behind its competitors and it has been fine with it for years.

This year’s bragging right feature has been 5G, with its introduction in South Korea, US and China means that smartphones should be expected to come with the chips that would enable the ultra fast 5G experience on smartphones. LG and Samsung were quick to get on the bandwagon but as always Apple is late to the party with their launch schedule allowing them to introduce their smartphones in the ending months of 2019, however, still, no 5G is expected, according to an Apple analyst who predicts 2020 for premium iPhones to start supporting 5G and 2021 for the technology to come integrated in all of its smartphones from their on.

Well, there could be one big reason behind the delay of 5G chips apart from the fact that it is only present in a few cities around the world and would take a reasonably long time to get it to all cities and currently the technology is far too advanced for many countries to use. The major reason behind Apple considering 2021 for proper 5G smartphone release is their deal with Qualcomm. According to analysts, Apple were 5 years behind their 5G chip release and if they were to release their own chips it would have been extremely late so finally they gave in to Qualcomm and now its Qualcomm to handle the chip business for Apple, and rightly so, because Qualcomm has already introduced their 5G chip and Apple would be getting the chips earlier this time. Lets see how the world reacts to the delays.
