Finally the wait is over as Microsoft has released“Office 2019” for Windows and Mac users. The objective to design this update is to offer Microsoft’s Office 365 service with monthly feature updates for all those businesses and consumers that haven’t get it yet.
Basically, Office 2019 is a section of features that have been added to Office 365 since the past three years. It includes updates to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Visio, Access, and Publisher. What else you need?
From now on, all Office apps of Office 2019 will have a roaming pencil case and ribbon customizations. In addition, Microsoft is putting focus mode to Word, alongside a new translator, and accessibility improvements.
In case of PowerPoint, you will get Morph transitions, SVG and 3D model support, play in-click sequence, and 4k video export.
Apart from these individual feature updates, you will get lot more for businesses like Exchange Server 2019, Skype for Business Server 2019, SharePoint Server 2019, and Project Server 2019 in the coming weeks.

It is important to mention here that currently Office 2019 will be available to commercial volume license customers, followed by consumer and other business customers in the next few weeks.
What might well be the last non-cloud version of Microsoft Office has been nudged gently into the light.
The on-premises edition of Office 2019 has shipped and contains all the enhancements that Office 365 Pro Plus users have seen over the last three years.
Microsoft is at pains to point out that 2019 is a one-time release and won’t see any of the goodness Office 365 users are promised in coming years, such as AI or new collaboration toys.
Office 2019 will, of course, receive security fixes. But anything else? Well, can we interest you in the cloud?
The usual suspects – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook – are present in the suite, with Project, Visio and Access being Windows-only. Windows users will also continue seeing the inexplicable inclusion of Publisher, something Mac users have been spared.
On the other hand, Microsoft has already announced that Office 2019 will not run on Windows 7 or 8.x. The users of 7 or 8.x will not enjoy the same span of support as its predecessor.
Due to the Windows Installer (MSI) technology in favor of Click-to-Run, it is clear the we are going toward the cloud, even though Redmond insisted it is “committed to another on-premises release in the future”.
