Netflix might bring ‘Ultra’ rank of membership soon. There is good news for Netflix users as the company is planning to add a new option even better than its premium plan. This new option named “Ultra” would offer a higher-tier service, better than its Premium subscription with some extra features.
Moreover, after this new plan, Netflix may reduce the existing Premium and Standard subscription plans.
According to the report of Italian blog Tutto Android, the new subscription plan called “Ultra” would provide four screens to view Ultra HD (4K) videos at the same time with high-quality audio streaming.
It means, Netflix (film and TV streaming service) will get a fourth new subscription option to the existing line up. However, people have to pay extra as they will get more features.
Not to know, at present, there are 3 plans available
- Basic at $7.99
- Standard at $10.99
- Premium at $13.99
With the Basic plan, users can only watch on one screen at a time, Standard allows two screens, and Premium lets users watch simultaneously on up to four screens. Only the Standard and Basic plans get HD videos, while the Premium plan gets you an additional Ultra HD option.

Smita Saran, a spokeswoman from Netflix, wrote in an email,
“We continuously test new things at Netflix and these tests typically vary in length of time. In this case, we are testing slightly different price points and features to better understand how consumers value Netflix.”
Moreover, the supposed “Ultra” plan is now under testing process, and might not be accessible for all of its users. For sure, some users might get the unreleased feature to test it out for them.
How this new program will affect existing plans?
On the other hand, if this new plan does get included, the Premium plan might get downgraded by the latest plan with fewer screens from 4 to 2. Similarly, and it might only allow one screen at a time for the Standard plan. However, it will happen if the Ultra plan turns out a real thing.
The expected cost for this program is $19.80.
