Motorola P40 – a budget phone that brings About a bit of excitement

Back in December, we had our very first glimpse of the Motorola P40, and as time has flown by, it seems like there are more details that are finally emerging with regards to the upcoming mid-range phone.

News coming in from 91Mobiles has stated that the upcoming phone is set to be powered by Samsung’s very own Exynos 9610 chipset. The processor is mainly for the purposes of a mid-ranger phone, as it goes on to offer four Cortex-A73 CPU cores, along with four power-sipping Cortex-A53 cores. There is also the presence of a Mali-G72 MP3 GPU plus a 10nm design there too.

This won’t actually be the very first time that the Korean manufacturer – Samsung has actually gone on to serve some of the Exynos chips that it has in its possession to other manufacturers, as we’ve seen in the past that the company has issues its flagship processors to the likes of Meizu. However, it wouldn’t actually be regarded as something out of normality, especially when you consider the fact that the manufacturer usually goes on to reserve its chipsets for internal usage.

As far as the specs of the phone go, there are rumors that the phone will offer a battery worth 3500mAh in capacity, while the phone will be available in three variants – 3GB/32GB, 4GB/64GB, and finally, 4GB/128GB. While at first it was assumed the phone would be lacking NFC, it has since been confirmed that the phone will indeed go on to support the connectivity option.

There is also the confirmation of the previous leaks with the current outlet, as it might just be confirmed that the phone will sport a 48MP main camera. What this means is that the phone will join the likes of Hisense, Honor, Huawei, Xiaomi, along with some others in the offering of a 48MP camera on a smartphone.
