Motorola made a promise during Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit last month in which it was said that the company would soon launch its next flagship phone. With that said, the manufacturer is now officially sending out media invites for an MWC event which was held last week and it has been widely speculated that the phone will be launched at the MWC.
All in all, it’s been quite the while since we have seen a flagship phone coming from Motorola. Sergio Buniac, who happens to be the company’s president said last month that it plans to launch premium flagship phones in 2020. He even promised the “fastest 5G phone on Qualcomm’s flagship platform.”
And so, with the report and the president’s claim in mind, it surely seems as if Motorola will indeed unveil a Snapdragon 865 device at the upcoming MWC 2020. The upcoming flagship is rumored to be called as the Motorola Edge Plus. However, for now, details are thin.

Another mysterious phone from Motorola – that features with a stylus recently popped up in renders. However, it is highly unlikely that this device will be a flagship one.
Considering the fact that the flagship from Motorola is set for a launch just next month, the company has indeed done quite the job in keeping leaks at bay. Of course, the same statement does not apply for the Galaxy S20 series – which is also set for a launch just next month, and has been subject to numerous leaks till now.
The company has also previously confirmed that it will indeed be launching a mid-range 5G Moto phone that will run the Snapdragon 765 silicon. Perhaps those will also see the light of day at MWC 2020.
Regardless of this though, exciting times lie ahead for the company as well as the smartphone industry as a whole – as we wait to see exactly what Motorola has in store for use – especially after the company unveiled the $1500 Moto Razr not so long ago.
