MOTOROLA INTRODUCES NEW MID-RANGERS: G8 PLUS AND E6 PLAY

Motorola has just introduced new mid-range phones which extend their ever growing line-up and it becomes even more difficult to believe that the company was in a complete mess just a few years ago. Now that it is under the right supervision, the company is producing phones left and right and populating the entry level and mid-tier market especially. This time it is the G8 Plus and E6 Play.

In terms of design and display, The G8 Plus offers a 6.3 inch FHD+ display and a waterdrop notch to accommodate the selfie camera. On the back is a triple camera set up at the top left aligned vertically, Thank God! The colors are cosmic blue which has slight tint and a crystal pink variant.

The E6 Play is the little sibling with a 5.5 inch 720p display, it is disappointing to see 720p displays still being used in a time when we have come so far from these. For this phone, it is a dual camera setup and the colors here are Ocean Blue and Black.

The G8 PLUS comes with Snapdragon 665 while the e6 Play plays with a mediatek quad core processor which is nothing to shine about accompanied by 2GB RAM and 32GB of measly storage while on the bigger phone it is a more respectable 4GB and 64GB.

The cameras on the G8 Plus do not introduce anything new but come with the same tested formula of a 48MP sensor, 5MP depth sensor and a 16MP shooter, for selfies it is a rather impressive 25MP. Now for the E6 play, Motorola didn’t seem so motivated to get the phone some recognition and as a result, there is a 13MP at the back and a 5MP at the front.

Battery sizes are also world apart at 4000MAH and 3000MAH for the G8 plus and E6 play respectively. However, considering the specs that they are working on expecting battery performance on the same par for both phones. Price tags for now in Euros with 269 for the G8 Plus and E6 Play has a 109 price tag.
