It would take a miracle for anybody to not know what is going on right now in cricket and that is Pakistan losing to India and facing criticism. It feels like any other day, but with the way the team surrendered to a far superior team is what is in question right now and PCB would be keen to look into the matter as to who has been responsible for Pakistan’s poor form lately. The first names that come on that list are that of the coach Mickey Arthur and the Chief Selector Inzamam ul Haq. It feels like there is a struggle for power in the cricket team and that somebody is required to straighten up the minds of our youngsters as well as experienced players have been below par throughout the tournament, something that at this level of professional sport is unacceptable.

Moreover, a point to be noted here is that Inzamam is the Chief Selector whose job is to select a 15 man squad and then…. that’s it. He has no job travelling with a team, adding on allowance on top makes the presence of Inzamam all the more questionable. Its not just that. When a Chief Selector starts interfering into the day to day training sessions, then it becomes an even more serious problem, and Inzamam has been seen and criticized of doing that. The role of the coach and the training staff is compromised, that leads to further arguments and a volatile atmosphere within a team. This is certainly not good for morale and the unity of the team is seriously affected.
With Inzamam and Mickey Arthur having their contracts expired after the World Cup it looks highly unlikely that they will be getting a new one from PCB.
