Recently Meizu has announced Meizu 16 series with Meizu 16 and Meizu 16 Plus to grab the attention of those users who want a smartphone with flagship-like specs under relatively low price tag.
Despite the fact, Meizu has been the small fry in the Android smartphone market for some time, but now the company is releasing some impressive products with a price tag that is almost half of what the big players offer in the market.
So, before going to any other detail, let’s see what Meizu is bringing for it users.
As, I mentioned earlier that Meizu is releasing two phones, so first take a look at the specs of Meizu 16:

- 6GB+128GB: 2998 Yuan (~PKR 54,000)
- 8GB+128GB: 3298 (~PKR 59,500)
Display
The Meizu 16 comes with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It features 6.0-inches screen size, having a resolution of 1080×2160, which puts it approximately 400ppi. The good news for all those who don’t like a notch taking up space on the top, there’s no notch.
The panel is Super AMOLED it means combining with that resolution, the phone should offer a grand viewing experience.
Internals
The internals of the phone is section where the Meizu 16 really stands out. It features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core chipset. It is available in two options from which you can choose from, a 6GB variant and an 8GB variant.
Storage
In terms of storage it starts at 64GB with options going all the way up to 128GB and 256GB. However, there’s no microSD card slot so you’ll have to rely on whatever storage option you go with.
Cameras
It offers dual rear-facing cameras with 12MP sensor and a f/1.8 aperture whereas the other one is a 20MP sensor which is just used for portraits. The main 12MP sensor also features four axis OIS and dual pixel PDAF.
Well, if we see it on paper then this makes the Meizu 16 a good choice for taking low light photos.

On the other side, the front-facing camera is a 20MP sensor with Meizu’s ArcSoft’s beauty algorithms.
Battery
The Meizu 16 comes with a 3,010mAh, quite well at this price tag.

Display
The larger 16 Plus feature a 6.5-inch display. However, the rest of the features are staying the same for the display Apart from in-display fingerprint scanner.
According to Meizu, the in-glass fingerprint scanner has recognition speeds of 0.25 seconds and a success rate of 99.12%. Well, that’s a big claim but only using the phone in person will confirm it.
Internals
The internals of the Meizu 16 plus is section same as of Meizu 16. However, it features a Colin system inside the phone to keep it fine and cool during intense gaming sessions or intensive usage.
This new liquid cooled copper tube cooling system will definitely for most of the users.

Both phones feature the same storage and RAM options however they varying prices.

Just like memory and Ram options, cameras are also the same on both Meizu 16 and 16 Plus.
