Mcdonalds is underfire for serving halal meat in India and that has not gone down well with the Hindu people in India. One of the twitter posters asked Mcdonalds whether they served halal meat to which they assured that the meat was of the highest quality and that it had the Halal Certification. This led to a frenzy on Twitter as Hindus donot eat Halal meat but Jhatka meat.
Mcdonalds was threatened of financial losses and that they would be boycotting the food chain until they were assured that the meat being eaten was Jhatka meat and not Halal meat.
Hindus hold cows as a sacred animal, an animal which cannot be eaten. However, Muslims have the belief that they have been allocated some animals which can be sacrificed and consumed. This debate in India has been a huge problem with so many muslims living in India as well.

However, it is not just the meat problem that is catching headlines these days. Recently Zomato had been involved in a similar problem when a hindu orderer rejected food from a muslim rider. Zomato won the internet with the perfect reply to the customer

This silenced the critics of the case and was also backed up by Uber Eats. This wasn’t enough for Indians to handle and Twitter went crazy! Hindu extremism is becoming a huge problem and even in the 21st century it is shameful to see that religious tolerance is an abstract concept, something that people do not want to accept and would rather hold on to their extremists belief. This is a major cause of the depriviation of world peace!
