It’s time for the May 2020 security patch, and if there is the case where you actually own a Google Pixel device – expect for the original Pixel, then you too can perform a software update. Of course for this to be achieved, all you would have to do is to check in System Settings and get your hands onto the new patch. Alternatively though, you also have the option to update your Pixel device in a manual manner – or indeed you can simply just wait on the OTA notification to come through. As far as the sheer nature of the update itself goes, if you too are looking to get your hands on it, there’s honestly not too much to look forward to. While Google has in fact made a habit of including some new tweaks here and there or indeed introducing some features with such updates, it is not quite the same case with the latest update as this time it only looks to be a security patch and the usual bug fixes.

Google is now actually indulging in the so-called“feature drops” so this update on your Google device won’t be as exciting as some of those that have been there before or indeed some that will come in the future, but still, being up-to-date on security is never a bad thing, so do make sure that you get your hands on the May 2020 Android security patch.
