We have got the latest branch of leaks surrounding Samsung’s upcoming flagship line – the Galaxy S10. While the information leaked relates to therelease of a number of devices from the series in the United Kingdom, it’squite important to note at this point that all the information leaked isactually from an anonymous source, and hence, all the info should be taken witha grain of salt, and it would be a bit immature to believe everything stated.
So with that said and done, let’s just get right into the leaks. Allegedly, the Galaxy s10 will launch before the Mobile World Congress, which is supposed to take place next year. In hindsight, Samsung usually launches its S-series flagship devices at the Mobile World Congress itself, however, the latest leaks now go on to suggest that the lineup will launch before the MWC takes place, as Samsung is allegedly gearing up for its own event on the 20th of February, 2019 – five days before the MWC begins.
Afterthe launch, the devices are set to go on sale on the 8th of March,2019, and as we’ve already discussed and suspected, the leaker has made claimsthat there will indeed be three variants for the Galaxy s10, with the entrylevel Galaxy s10 possibly costing $799, while the entry level s10 Plus going onto cost around $899, and so on.
So it now seems that the Korean manufacturer is trying to adopt a similar strategy to what Apple tried this year with the latest iPhones : increasing the overall price of the products, while at the same time introducing a lower cost entry level model, in an attempt give the consumers a greater set of choices to select from. And while this particular strategy doesn’t seem to be working for Apple with the iPhone XR, it’ll be intriguing to see how things work out for Samsung.
The leaker revealed other bits of info as well, ranging from the alleged Infinity-O display, the camera sensors, the ultrasonic fingerprint sensors etcetc– and such topics have already been well speculated on before, and have been already well covered. The release of the phones allegedly isn’t as far away as we had previously thought, and it’ll be interesting to see what leaks surface as time progresses.
