Malika Sherawat evicted from the luxury Paris apartment during the winters. Multi-millionaire and Bollywood star Malika Sherawat, has been evicted from the luxury Paris apartment because of £70,000 rent arrears. She was renting the flat with her French husband Cyrille Auxenfans.
Malika Sherawat, 41, and her husband Cyrille Auxenfans, 47, rented the £6000-a-month flat all last year, but beyond an initial payment of £2400 they paid nothing.
Reports say that the star was tear gassed and beaten up by three masked intruders at the apartment in 2016.
Despite of the documents filed in the 16th arrondissement district court in the French capital being shown to the news agency AFP, Malika Sherawat has tweeted that the allegations were all fabricated.
She states: “I hv said it before & I am saying it again, I DO NOT OWN or RENT any apt in Paris! I have been in Los Angeles and India since last 8 months, I DO NOT live in Paris, ps do not spread false rumours!”
During the winter months, nobody can be kicked out of property in France, but attempts are already being made to seize the couple’s furniture, following the court ruling against Malika Sherawat and Cyrille Auxenfans, a well-known & highly successful Paris businessman.
At a hearing in November 2017, David Honorat, the couple’s barrister told the court: “My clients are in a difficult financial situation, but not irremediable”.

Ms Sherawat angrily denied that she has been evicted and insisted that she is living in Los Angeles and India.
The owner of the flat is of the view the couple were acting in ‘bad faith’, and that Malika Sherawat had earned tens of millions during her highly successful career.
The incident happened only a month after reality TV star Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in the neighbouring flat.
Mr Honorat says that Ms Sherawat is an actress. Her husband no longer has a job. There are dependent kids. He lives all thanks to advances.
He also adds,
“He pays support for his two children and pays a compensatory allowance to his ex-wife. He is waiting for his parents’ inheritance.”
He also says that his clients do not dispute the amount of debt and are determined to repay what they do owe.
At the very end of 2016, Malika and her French husband allegedly suffered a mysterious attack in the flat, that is across the river Seine from the Eiffel Tower.
The couple said they were tear gassed and beaten up by three masked intruders, who then ran away before police did arrive.
