LG V30 to feature with not only 6-inch OLED display but also small bezels – confirmed by LG
LG introduced OLED displays for its smartphones two years ago. Now, the company looks set to re-introduce us to the technology, but this time, with something much more! This time, the OLED display introduction will feature with a large, high-resolution display, which will also have a huge prominence in an upcoming flagship phone.
LG has very recently announced that its latest flagship, the LG V30 will feature a 6-inch 2,880 x 1,440 resolution plastic OLED display, which is also called the P-OLED display. The glass will also have special protection in the form of Gorilla Glass 5, and will also have curves on the side, in a bid for LG to support the claims of the phone having an “ergonomic design.”
What’s even more impressive is the claim by LG that this FullVision display will allow for around 20 to 50 percent reduction in not only upper but also lower bezels, when there is a comparison made with the previous model, the LG V20. Clearly, LG has come far with the release of its latest flagship, in terms of display, if not anything else.
Talking about the actual technology that features, LG has claimed that the display delivers 148 percent of the sRGB color space and 109 of the DCI-P3 color space for the digital cinema. All in all, what this basically means is that the colors will pop without you having to look too over-the-top.
Another very important point to note is that due to the fact that LG’s upcoming FullVision display is P-OLED, it should not only be more scratch-resistant and durable than LCD panels, but it should also result in being more thinner than the LCD panels.
With the phone being announced before the end of August, the display will certainly be a huge talking point. Of course, we should not expect only the V30 to feature with the FullVision P-OLED display, as the demand for LG’s technology will grow to more of its products as well, it would seem.
