It has been reported in recent times that the Korean company – LG, has gone on to make some tweaks within its marketing strategy in an attempt to make a meaningful and indeed successful push for a bigger part in the market share in the mobile phones industry – post 4G. The company went on to state just a little while ago that it was planning on to launch its upcoming flagship phone, the LG G8 ThinQ along with the LG V50 ThinQ 5G at the mobile world congress that is set to kick off in a few days time. With such an announcement, it was made clear that LG was looking to change its strategy, since previously, we had known for the company to launch the G series flagship first in spring, while the V-series followed up later in the fall.
Such a tweak represents LG’s intention to profit from the demand that the 5G market is soon to pose.

However, the 5G technology isn’t the only one that many look forward to this year, as there is yet another headlining technology set to take the industry by storm : in the form of foldable phones. It has been reported that we are only a couple of days away till Samsung launches its highly anticipated foldable phone.
As far as the case goes for LG,the company isn’t too keen just yet to launch a foldable phone of its own, as the company feels as if it’s still “too early” to get into the action. Such news was disclosed courtesy of Kwon Bong-seok, who happens to be the newly appointed head of the company’s mobile division, report the Korea Times. There is little doubt in the news that LG is in the works to produce a foldable phone of its own, however, the company looks to have decided against the production of such a phone right now.
LG to monitor the soon to unfold foldable phones situation
The likely factor that might support LG’s decision not to go ahead with the production of a foldable phone might just be because of the fact that there doesn’t seem to be much demand for the technology just yet. However, the company will closely monitor the situation, as we too look forward to the reaction that the Galaxy F receives. And in the case where the reaction is positive, the company says it is “fully ready to respond.”
