LG confirms launch of its new smartphone. LG has recently gone out to reveal that it will unveil the LG V40 ThinQ in an event in New York, which will be held on the 3rd of October. An event in Korea will also follow, however, that will occur on the very next day. Along with the confirmation of the date, LG also went on to release a video that gives us an idea and more information about the phone’s triple-camera setup, which we have been speculating over for quite the time now.
In the video, the camera takes four pictures. These range from the likes of a regular photo, a zoomed in photo, another phone in wide-angle, while the last photo comprised of the use of the portrait mode.
When LG finally does release a the LG V40 ThinQ, the phone will be the only second phone all over the market to have a triple camera setup, as the Huawei P20 Pro was crowned the first phone ever to have a triple camera setup. However, with the inclusion of telephoto and a wide angle lens on its device, LG is taking a different route all together when compared to Huawei, which went on to include a monochrome lens and a telephoto lens alongside the regular one.

It’s not new to see LG include a wide angle lens on its flagship device. With the addition of a telephoto lens, it could give those a headache between choices who want a powerful phone, while not at all compromising on the camera aspect.
It is also expected that the phone will feature a double camera setup on the front. What this means is that the LG ThinQ will be the first phone ever to have five cameras.
However, there is even more information we have gained with regards to the upcoming phone. A leaked spec sheet has all but confirmed that the phone will have a snapdragon 845 chipset, 6 gigs of RAM, a 3300 mAh battery, and up to 128 gigs of storage.
