LG changes the name of its upcoming flagship

LG changes the name of its upcoming flagship. Evan Blass, the most active and trust worthy leaker has suggested through a tweet that the upcoming smartphone of LG will be named  LG G7 ThinQ. So remind it that the previously expected LG G7 will be LG G7 ThinQ.

But the statement has not been made clear and some ambiguity is found in hus tweet as he has tweeted this statement, “Goodbye, LG G7. Hello, LG G7 ThinQ”.However the most reliable sources say that the info is credible and you can trust it.

Why LG has chosen to give thus name to its upcoming mobile? Well, the scheme behind this name seems to be surprising in case the company did not already announce a phone which has the ‘ThinQ’ brand attached to it.

Previously, LG attached this brand to V30S, and named this phone V30S ThinQ, and released it earlier this year.

Basically, The “ThinQ” branding stands for AI features; for example, the LG V30S ThinQ ships with some camera-related AI features which let the phone use various algorithms to brighten up images.AI featured in the camera try to improve the quality of images in general.

The LG V30S ThinQ has capability of recognizing various scenes for better image tuning. The QLens functionality of the camera allows it to scan QR codes and recognize items.

So, keeping in mind capabilities of LG V30S ThinQ we can assume that the LG G7 ThinQ will ship with such features as well, hence its name, though very few people expected the company to change the name of its on the way to come flagship.

No doubt everyone expected LG’s upcoming flagship to be called the LG G7, so this new name has just surprised us.

The reason behind this change of name seems the company’s attempt to attract more attention of people to its flagships by using the ‘ThinQ’ brand, as LG is focusing more and more to AI.

LG G7 ThinQ is expected to arrive by the end of the current month. According to a report from Korea, LG plans to unveil its new flagship at the end of this month, however the phone is expected to go on sale starting in May.

Follow the notch trend of 2018, LG G7 ThinQ will sport a display notch according to rumors.

LG G7 ThinQ will be fueled by the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core processor, like several other flagships announced already, or set to be announced in 2018.

The LG G7 ThinQ is expected to go on shipping with Android 8.1 Oreo, with LG’s custom UI on top.
