So lets go some months in the past, the Chinese manufacturers Lenovo had held a launch event on the 5th July 2018 at which Lenovo were to announce the Lenovo Z5, Lenovo K5 Note and Lenovo A5 smartphones. With the exceptionof the Lenovo A5, all of the mentionedsmartphonedevices launched and have been made available for purchase the home country of China. Moreover, starting from July 23, Lenovo have already kick-started the sales of the Lenovo A5. The device is currently available for reservations at the website, JD.com. The Jingdong Mall listing reveals that this device will bemade availablein widermarkets on July 26.
Movingon the Lenovo A5 is an entry-level smartphone which will feature a 5.45-inch IPS LCD display panel that will give users anaspect ratio of about 18:9 coupled along witha Full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. The MediaTek MT6739 SoCalso powers the Lenovo A5 coupled along with 3 GB of RAM. The devicewill come with a microSD card slot, which can expand storage as well. In addition the device is packed with a very large batter packof about 4,000mAh capacity.Moving on the new device Lenovo A5 comes with single rear camera of 13-megapixel along with a LED flash. At the front of thedevice, the new phone features an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The front camera also supports face unlock feature. The A5 is also equipped with a fingerprint scanner. The handset is loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo that is customized with ZUI 3.9.

The handset comes in 16 GB and 32 GB storage models. Both variants of the smartphone feature 3 GB of RAM. They are respectively priced at about $88 and $117. Both these variantsof the Lenovo A5 models have already been listed on JD, but only the base model is currentlyavailable for any reservations. At the launch event, Lenovo announced that the Lenovo A5 will launch in colors such as gold, black and pink. The A5 model which has been listed on JD is only available in black color. The Lenovo A5 seems to be a worthy competitor for the Xiaomi Redmi 6A as it includes very similar specifications.
