After giving some teasers, OnePlus has now officially announced that its latest and upcoming flagship phone – the OnePlus 7 Pro will be launching on the 14th of May. The company has also started the process of sending out media invites for the event to be held in a number of cities.
The attendees who will happen to find themselves at the event set by OnePlus will be the first to experience the company’s first ever devices along with a range of interactive activities and demo areas. There will also be the usual goodies given out to everyone present at the event – something of which OnePlus has made a habit of.

This time around, OnePlus is set to announce at least two different models in the OnePlus 7 series – and this represents the first time ever that the company is doing something of such sorts. The Pro version certainly seems to be on its way this time around, coming with a Quad HD+ display and 90Hzrefresh rate, a pop-up camera and advanced internals to top it all off to take on the more bigger players of the market, including the likes of the Huawei P30 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus.
It does now seem that OnePlus is moving away from the affordability barrier that once brought the company to light a just a few years back. One would have to imagine that the ‘Pro’ version of the company’s flagship phone would be more expensive than any other OnePlus model released in the market. However, if you will be on the look for something of more affordable sorts – worry not, as the OnePlus 7 standard edition will also be available in the market to fit the needs of those who might find it suitable, and while it is indeed expected that the phone will featuring with slightly inferior internals, we still expect it to be amongst the best smartphones around the globe when it finally launches – and hopefully enough, for an affordable price too.
