Latest leaks with regards to the Moto G7 Play

Just earlier in this month, we had actually seen not one, but two Moto smartphones passing through the FCC, and for many of us, we thought that perhaps these devices would be the Moto G7 and the Moto G7 Plus. However, now, we have some live photos of the Moto G7 Play, and also, we happen to have some details, with regards to the internals of the particular phone.

First and foremost, looking at the exterior side of things, it would appear as if Motorola is actually looking to sell the handset in not only black, but also silvery colorways. The pictures also go on to show that there is quite the resemblance with the aesthetic that the company has used on its phones over the course of the last few years – when it comes to the Moto G7 Play.

On the back side of things, we look at the phone’s camera sensor, without actually being too sure about its MP size. We also have the obvious LED flash on the back, coming along with a fingerprint sensor, which is hidden right under Motorola’s logo.

Right at the top end of the phone, we have a notch, which happens to be the habitat of the front facing camera, earpiece, along with all the other sensors which you’d expect the notch to house. Though it’s quite hard to see exactly how big the notch is, in the FCC’s photos, we’ll see soon enough just what we’re dealing with, as time progresses, and more pictures are leaked.

One of the disappointments that come with the phone is the fact that it has a decreased battery life. The Moto G6 Play came with a massive 4000mAh battery, however, with accordance to the reports by FCC, the Moto G7 will be coming with a battery of only 2820mAh. Though this is obviously just based on rumors, so let’s all hope that this doesn’t turn out to be true at the end of the day.

Though the battery (assuming it is 2820mAh) would perhaps be a disappointment, the facts that the phone will keep the headphone jack, have the option to MicroSD, and will make the transition to USB type C will also make the potential customer quite happy.

So here’s to waiting on the phone, and hoping that while Motorola is already doing good things by retaining the headphone jack, it also makes sure that the phone is equipped with a decent enough battery.
