Joker has been a critically acclaimed movie which has earned its dough through the extremely fine acting by Joaquin Pheonix. But that hasn’t stopped the critiques from coming in against the movie as some dubbed it very disturbing while others claimed that it was explicitly showing the dark side of society and encouraging riots and harmful behavior, well for those people, all we can say is that, that was the purpose to show how society is ruining the common man and that we need to be nicer to each other, a message that some of them failed to understand. Regardless, it has been receiving heaps of praise from moviegoers and is still jam-packed in cinemas.
However, one peculiar situation happened at a screening in Paris which got to the media attention. One of the witnesses described the scene in the following words:

In the middle of the film, a guy who was accompanied by another man, shouted ‘It’s political’. He repeated the sentence at least six times. At first, people laughed, then some asked him to shut up. There, he got up from his chair and shouted “Allah hu Akbar.” People then got up in a panic and ran to the exits but the doors were blocked. Some were crying. A mother was looking for her daughter. The man yelling “Allah hu Akbar” managed to escape the cinema after other moviegoers tried to detain him. Police later arrested him. He was detained on suspicion of “apologising for terrorism
The management also added:
Obviously, the emergency doors were open. And there were only a few dozen spectators who panicked. Besides, the others stayed to see the film to the end.
One eventful day at the cinemas, right? No. It displayed the real problem in our society. The use of Islam to terrorize people, which has led to the introduction of a certain word, “ISLAMOPHOBIA”. People only do watch movies for fun and not for the message, this is very clear now!
