Inter Services Public relation is so-called because of its task to maintain cordial public relations. In the performance of this task, they have decided to release a PUBG of its own: the GLORIOUS RESOLVE. The official description of the game reads, “ISPR presents you with an action-packed, multi-role FPS shooter game. It takes the players through the epic battles Pakistan Armed Forces and Law enforcement agencies have fought.”
The game has been well received and currently has the rating of 4.6 and number one ranked FPS game. Glorious resolve is the culmination of the Pakistan Army, the Pakistan Navy, and the Pakistan Air Force as it depicts how the army fights wars. It is heavily inspired from PUBG and Fortnite, which have been extremely popular lately, but with a little Pakistani spin to it. The game presents huge potential but fails at execution. There is nothing that stands out with PUBG and Fortnite still being the better options for such games. The graphics are mediocre at best and not a lot is going on in the game. The historical accuracy can also be questioned and where the people expected a thrill-packed experience of simulation of the army, they end up feeling disappointed by the game.

While a lot of emphases is made on missions and their accuracy to reality, the game is essentially a multiplayer game. So, you can invite your friends and make squads to take down the enemy. You compete with everyone for the top spot in leaderboards. You will also have the option of taking down the enemy with a helicopter. In addition to that, you’ll have access to UAV drones, a multitude of guns, and hand grenades for the intelligence-driven operations.
It was a surprise move when ISPR took to twitter to introduce its new game. Did they really need to do that? It feels primarily as a stint by the ISPR to gain more publicity or just a bad attempt at best. The rating also seems to be biased towards the authority behind the game rather than its merits. All-in-All, it seems to be an unnecessary move but is apparently welcomed by the people of Pakistan.
