It seems that NAB has now approved for an investigation against the former Minister of Information Technology Anusha Rehman and against former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and against other Pakistan Telecommunication Authority higher management personnel after an inquiry was lodged against the illegal award of the Next Generation Mobile services (NGMS) which provide companies with 3G and 4G services. It is revealed that the decision was taken at the NAB Executive Board meeting which was supervised under the chairman NAB himself. The case being named the 3G, 4G auction case.

The meeting consisted of other senior members of NAB to and it was decided that an investigation against the former Chairman of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) DrIsamail Shah, former Director PTA AmjadMustafa , former Director Generals PTA Rizwan Ahmed and Wasim Tariq and Tariq Sultan of Warid officials would also be approved and they shall too be investigated for their involvement in this matter. It seems that the Minister of IT AnushaRehman and PTA Chief Dr Ismail have been accused of allowing Warid Telecomm to launch 3G and 4G services all across Pakistan without acquiring and suitable license to do so which later on caused huge loss of profits to the national economy meaning that corruption has taken place at high level and an inquiry is deemed necessary.
