Nadeem Malik’s career spans over 28 years in the premiere organizations both in Pakistan and USA as an executive in management, strategic development, transformation, sales leadership, financial capitalization, marketing, and business development. During an accomplished career spanning more than two decades, Nadeem has managed, scaled and drive transformation in organizations both in telecommunications and technology providers.
He is passionate and an agile enthusiast who strive to deliver value. He has been recognized for his leadership qualities and for his capacity to deliver results.
Nadeem Malik, recently joined IBM as Cloud Lead to help customer transition to agile-centric organizations using IBM Cloud technology. Prior to joining IBM, he served as Country Manager, Microsoft.
His transition to IBM from Microsoft reflects not only direction of IT industry but also organizational focus of these industry giants.
Microsoft Pakistan gained great momentum during his span as Country Manager. Microsoft emerged to its global brand value. He brought the core values of empowering through transformation not only customers but to full spectrum of society. Microsoft launched and delivered “ICT for Girls” initiative with Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom. The program was focused on under privileged girls from Bait-ul-Maal schools. Esteemed Minister, Anusha Rehman accolades the efforts of Microsoft for this program. Under his leadership Microsoft launched employability portal www.rozgar.work. Mr. Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister Planning and Development was the key supporter of this initiative. Landing Microsoft’s presence in KP education space illustrates his leadership. He developed strong relationship with key federal and provincial Government.
He has an interesting career path, gaining experience from east to west sides of the world. A career that started as Design Engineer, with US Department of Commerce, landing him with NESPAK when he decided to return home. Took him back to US to work with few leading consulting firms before finally settled in Pakistan.
Nadeem A. Malik was hired by Huawei Technologies to head it newly established Enterprise Business in 2011 as Director, Enterprise BG. Huawei, a world leading Telecom organization launched it products and services to Enterprise space where markets was dominated by CISCO, HP, Dell, EMC, etc. Being the pioneer employee led Huawei Enterprise Business Group in Pakistan to recognize among top established ICT Solution provider. Made Breakthrough for strategic solutions into Financial, Govt and allied sectors. He was promoted to Vice President, FSI in Jan 2015.
He severed as Vice President, InfoTech, a leading IT organization, during their transformation era. His entrepreneurship spark ignited few successful ventures. He established iWAYS in 1997, which was sold to its multinational partners in 2006.
He is very passionate about to establishing coalition between academia and industry from training to research to mentoring. He served as Associate Dean, UMT back in 1998. He currently spend time with various Universities across the country to deliver inspirational and motivating lectures on emerging trends in technologies.
Nadeem Malik, has great contribution in developing local ICT as industry. He was pioneer member of P@SHA and part of initial team who’s dedication and commitment resulted in a strong industry body. He was part of delegate who took P@SHA to APICTA and represented Pakistan and selected as Judge in First APICTA Awards in 2004.
