The pop-up selfie camera trend was well and truly brought to light by Vivo, and now, it seems more and more manufacturers are looking to follow the suite. The latest phone in the news with regards to a pop-up selfie camera is Huawei’s upcoming phone – the P Smart Z, whose renders have also been leaked.
The phone is set to come with a full screen display having only a small bezel right at the bottom. Both the top as well as the side bezels have been shaved right off with the selfie camera now having a new habitat. With that said, the phone’s front facing camera will now have the capabilities to slide out from the left side of the frame – quite similar to the Vivo NEX.

On the back of the device we have a dual camera setup. The sensors, along with an LED flash, are placed on the left, while there also happens to be a fingerprint scanner right in the middle of the rearside.For the purposes of a comfortable grip, the back of the device will have curved sides, and as far as the power button and the volume rocker go, they are placed in the right side frame of the device.
The phone will come with a 6.59-inch 1080 x 2340 display having an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. It is expected that the device will be powered by the Kirin 710 processor along with 4 gigs of RAM and 64 gigs of internal storage. The phone will also have the support for expandable storage – to a max of 512GB.
More on the selfie camera though, as it will be a 16MP f/1.8 sensor. The rear sensors are a 16MP f/1.8 camera with a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor. To keep the lights running, the device will feature with a 4000mAh battery. When it finally arrives, it will run Android Pie right from the get go, along with EMUI 9 which happens to be based on Pie itself.
