Ever since the Chinese manufacturer Huawei saw a ban imposed on itself by the US government, the company has faced many operational obstacles in multiple different countries – as the allegations against the company’s problems with privacy continue to rise. And while the ban’s implementation with respect to the US, the accusations were also seen to be present by countries boasting from Europe. Now though, the fact that Huawei will be allowed to build 5G network infrastructure in certain parts of the UK has been officially confirmed.
The Prime Minister of the UK in Boris Johnson gave the go ahead for building 5G networking in parts of the country, even though there has been pressure by both the US and his own party to do otherwise. As things stand right now, the Chinese brand can only develop “non core” parts of the newer and faster bandwidth. Most notably, Huawei’s share in the field is hard capped at just 35 percent, which quite evidently means the company finds itself in a difficult position as an expert in mobile networking – in its attempt to form a monopoly or indeed hold a major stake in the country.

Such a decision will go against the US policies that have been notably adopted by the US Commerce Department, as it continues its efforts to restrict the company’s operations in the US.
Ever since its inception last year, it’s almost as if 5G has become the hallmark for developed nations all across the globe – as the technology’s benefits are recognized in nations such as South Korea as well as China – a country which played host to the latest advancement in the tech. Of course with the linear progression that the tech has seen and will continue to see means that it will add real economic value while also going on to improve quality of life.
