Huawei most recent announcement states that the Chinese company will start the roll out of EMUI version 9.0, which is based upon Google’s latest software version – Android Pie. The roll out will be starting this weekend, and several Chinese based publications in particular picked up the news, doing so via a reported post by Huawei, which was found on Weibo.
The software will extend for Huawei phones, and these will include honor smartphones as well. This roll out is said to be on a global scale, all being done from the very beginning. And while it may not be true that since the roll out will start on Saturday, you’ll be getting the update on Saturday too, since these rollouts do tend to be staggered and can often take several weeks to actually take effect. However, there is no case to be made over here that you’ll be lagging behind in the update quota just because you aren’t residing in Huawei’s home nation – China.

So what phones will get the update? Well, the list goes as forward :
Huawei P20
Huawei P20 Pro
Huawei Mate 10
Huawei Mate 10 Pro
Huawei Mate 10 Porsche design
Huawei Mate RS Porsche design
Honor 10
Honor View 10
Honor Play
You can expect new looks, shorter time for an app to load, and also GPU Turbo 2.0 from EMUI 9.0 when it finally hits out.
The rollout would without doubt be a very positive move for the Chinese company, because, if you look at the track record, the OEM has been traditionally been amongst those to have the slower roll out of a new software. Another interesting thing to note here would be that this move would go a long way for Huawei to maintain its number two global smartphone vendor position, and the company just as might even throw Samsung off its throne, to achieve the number one spot.
