Huawei has just recently made the announcement that the company has started the seeding of the latest version of the company’s custom UI – EMUI 9, which is primarily based upon Google’s latest software version – the Android 9 Pie. However, while this may pose as great news for you if you are amongst the users of the P20 series, don’t get too excited just yet, unless you happen to live in China – because the international owners of the Huawei P20 and the Huawei P20 Pro will have to wait just a bit longer, however, like I said, just a little bit, and not too long.

The new update brings about quite a few changes, and these include the likes of a brand new UI, gesture-based navigation, much similar to the one we have on the Huawei Mate 20, and the Mate 20 Pro, and of course, like we expected, the new UI also brings about a GPU Turbo, for much smoother proceedings with regards to gameplay.
As of now, we’re not actually certain as to exactly when the new update is supposed to hit the international variants, however, it is quite probable that it won’t be taking too long a time – especially when you consider the fact that the stable version, which is based in China – is currently rolling out.
