Huawei has been teasing the mobile phone market over the release of its latest and upcoming phone – the Huawei Nova 4, which will feature a circular camera cutout instead of the very infamous notch. Fortunately enough, it looks like the teasing won’t be going on for too long as Huawei has managed to reveal a launch date for the device – the 17th of December.
The launch date was revealed by the Chinese brand on its Weibo account, as what makes this phone unique is the fact that it would be the first phone from the brand, in fact, the first phone ever to feature the unique camera cutout that has got everyone talking.
While we do know that the phone will come with a camera cutout, there isn’t much else to know thus far. The Nova phones have followed on to have upper mid-range specs, so it won’t be too surprising to see either one of the Kirin 710, or the c present on the Huawei Nova 4.

While the Nova 3 supports two selfie cameras, I don’t think we can expect something of similar sorts from the upcoming Nova 4. The upcoming phone’s camera cutout is rather small, so I wouldn’t imagine Huawei fitting in any more than a single camera there. This obviously doesn’t mean that standards will fall with regards to selfies, as Google has proven time in time out that you can do plenty of stuff with a single camera, too.
While Huawei will be the first company to launch a phone having a circular camera setup, it won’t be the only company to do so. Samsung, just last month had made the announcement that it is going to take on the technology, and some sources have gone on to suggest that the Galaxy A8s will actually be the first phone from the Korean brand to feature the latest technology.
