Huawei have just set the date for there largest ever Global developers conference in China on which is set to be held on August 9 and rumor has it that the company will use the global event to in turn announce its company’s own Operating System, the HongMeng. The news has originated from a website which is based in China, called ifeng.com who seem to be very sure that the company will use the platform to announce the new OS. Users would not be surprised to hear about the new prospect as it was in the making for some time now. In that regard the Head of Consumer Business, Mr. Richard Yu while giving an interview at CNBC said that the new OS could be ready by fall in China this year.

It is worth mentioning that the Huawei Global Developer Conference is the most important event for the Chinese smartphone giant and considering the heat that the company is getting in recent times, this year’s event is more important than ever. The company have in turn got on board with 1,500 partners and 5,000 global developers who will all be attending the event. Moreover, the highlight of the event may well be the announcement of Huawei’s very own Operating Software. It is worth mentioning over here that the company will be launching there first ever OS, so they will need to make an ever-lasting impression. The OS needs a solid ecosystem of apps in order be a success.
Moreover, recent reports have suggested that the new OS will not just be built to run on smartphones. According to Richard Yu, the OS is “open to mobile phones, computers, tablets, TVs, cars, and smart wearable devices,” and will be compatible with all Android apps and web applications, so basically the full package is promised by the company. He also added that “if the Android app is recompiled, running performance is improved by more than 60%.”
