HTC recently took twitter to announce that every one of the HTC U11 devices will be getting 60 FPS video recording support, over the next couple of months. Even though the DxOMark scores were a bit controversial, HTC made a new record thanks to the U11, which scored a first-ever 90 in terms of its photo- and video-capturing capabilities. The Taiwanese company’s flagship already offers 30 and 120 FPS recording, and combined with its hardware optical stabilization and advanced audio features, it is hard to say that many other companies can provide you with the same camera experience than HTC can with its U11.
Now, HTC has taken the further step, and has indicated that things are about to get even better as if they really needed to! HTC took to twitter to announce that its prime handset will be getting an update over the next couple of months, which will see it support 60 FPS video recording.
If you do not know, then 60 FPS basically means that you will see 60 rendered frames, instead of the more common 30, and this will obviously result in much smoother videos. Although many of us were expecting one concrete date, this did not turn out to be the case, and while many of us might have been disappointed due to this, it is very good to see that HTC is making sure that its camera remains one of the best, if not the best on the market!
If you are wondering what specs the phone comes with, the HTC U11 comes with a 5.5-inch QHD display and 12-megapixel Dual-Pixel camera, powered by a Snapdragon 835 chipset and a 3,000 mAh battery. However, the stand-out feature of the device remains its squeezable frame, which can be used to create app shortcuts, amongst the many other things it may or may not be used to do.
