OnePlus will indeed launch its latest flagship phone this year – and this doesn’t come as a surprise. What we were waiting for was the names of such devices to be confirmed – and while official confirmation has not come, the latest listing from Amazon does reveal the names to be in conformity of our previous thoughts. The e-commerce platform has apparently listed the two devices on its affiliate website in the latest turn of events that have ensued.
The listing was first spotted by a Twitter user, with it later being confirmed by the Gadgets 360 – who also saw it earlier in the day. The listing goes on to reveal the OnePlus 8 as well as the OnePlus 8 Pro as part of the company’s affiliate advertising fee schedule.
Of course for obvious reasons, the listing has been ever since removed, as there is still a bit of time left before OnePlus unveils both its flagship devices for the year 2020.

While it isn’t as big a deal as one might have made of it, it may be taken as the confirmation of the devices’ names. Other than this though, we can’t really say too much about the phones, as no additional details were forthcoming – at least in a similar model.
OnePlus last year launched the pro variants for both the OnePlus 7 as well as the OnePlus 7T – these devices seeing launch earlier last year. The listing showcased by Amazon may also confirm that the Chinese manufacturer is indeed following pretty much the same strategy this year. And so it is all but possible that we might see five OnePlus phones launched in 2020 – since the company is already looking to launch the OnePlus 8 Lite. If it does so, it would take the company’s portfolio to five phones.
